About the Artist

She is a composer, explorer and and performer of extraordinary cinematic music and deep-listening compositions. She loves recording objects and exploring their percussion qualities, machine sounds and field recordings of the outside world. This, combined with instruments like guitar, piano, and her voice, evolves into Maj Rachel’s sound world.
Her debut album, My Shadow Was a Nun, was released last year on Rotterdam-based label Redrum Recordz.
We will play tracks from this album but also older and newer material and talk about this soundworld of hers.
